From 62e3b96badf4deb86ae4174a2d5df03746eb961b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Adrian Alfred C. Bonpin" Date: Wed, 30 Sep 2026 20:29:13 +0800 Subject: [PATCH] chore(release): v0.8.3 version bump + changelog (#46) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit * chore(release): bump 0.8.2 -> 0.8.3 Version bumped across desktop/package.json, Cargo.toml (+ only the `gridline` entry in Cargo.lock — the sqlx family is untouched), tauri.conf.json, both landing-page `const version` strings, the README's two download tables and 'current release' banners, the MAINTENANCE comment, and the version tests. Adds the 0.8.3 changelog entry and README release note covering the external client-tool resolution fix (issue #44), the MariaDB client-option fix, the four restyled tool pages, and the app-icon revert. Historical references (older changelog entries, '(v0.8.2)' feature notes) are deliberately left alone. * test(ui): scope CopyButton's unhandled-rejection capture to its own error The listener is process-global and Vitest runs several test files per worker, so an unrelated file's rejection could be recorded and fail this test. Filter the capture to the error this test creates, and stop the listener in a finally so a failing assertion cannot leak it into later tests. Verified non-vacuous: against a CopyButton without the try/catch both 'stays quiet' tests still fail with the expected assertion. --- AGENTS.md | 2 +- README.md | 32 ++++++------ desktop/package.json | 2 +- desktop/src-tauri/Cargo.lock | 2 +- desktop/src-tauri/Cargo.toml | 2 +- desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json | 2 +- desktop/src/components/ui/CopyButton.test.tsx | 50 ++++++++++++------- desktop/src/lib/bundle-config.test.ts | 6 +-- desktop/src/lib/docs-coverage.test.ts | 18 +++---- desktop/src/lib/version.test.ts | 4 +- scripts/release-mac.sh | 2 +- www/public/landing.js | 2 +- www/src/data/changelog.ts | 10 ++++ www/src/pages/index.astro | 2 +- 14 files changed, 80 insertions(+), 56 deletions(-) diff --git a/AGENTS.md b/AGENTS.md index db26434..ca48d4d 100644 --- a/AGENTS.md +++ b/AGENTS.md @@ -192,7 +192,7 @@ Direct pushes to `prod` will be bypassed only in emergencies; prefer the PR path - Version number across `desktop/package.json`, `desktop/src-tauri/Cargo.toml` (+ the `gridline` entry in `desktop/src-tauri/Cargo.lock` — run any `cargo metadata`/`cargo build` to sync it; do NOT blanket-replace `0.8.x` in the lock, the sqlx family shares that version), `desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json` - Landing page version strings: `www/src/pages/index.astro` and `www/public/landing.js` (both carry a `const version`), plus the new entry at the top of `www/src/data/changelog.ts` - Tests that assert the version: `desktop/src/lib/version.test.ts`, `desktop/src/lib/bundle-config.test.ts`, `desktop/src/lib/docs-coverage.test.ts` (this one also asserts the README's asset names and the landing `const version`) -- **README download links are static (versioned)** — both download tables (top **Download** section + **Which file should I download?**) link directly to the release-tag assets (`releases/download/v0.8.2/`). tauri-action uses default versioned asset names (`Gridline__aarch64.dmg`, `Gridline--1.x86_64.rpm`, etc.) — update BOTH tables, the two "current release (**vX.Y.Z**)" banners, and the MAINTENANCE comment on every release. +- **README download links are static (versioned)** — both download tables (top **Download** section + **Which file should I download?**) link directly to the release-tag assets (`releases/download/v0.8.3/`). tauri-action uses default versioned asset names (`Gridline__aarch64.dmg`, `Gridline--1.x86_64.rpm`, etc.) — update BOTH tables, the two "current release (**vX.Y.Z**)" banners, and the MAINTENANCE comment on every release. - **Bundled pg tools:** `tauri.conf.json` `bundle.resources` lists `resources/pg_tools/*`; the `release.yml` matrix builds/downloads + checksum-verifies the static binaries before the Tauri build step. - **macOS is Developer-ID signed + notarized in CI** from the repository secrets (`APPLE_CERTIFICATE`, `APPLE_CERTIFICATE_PASSWORD`, `APPLE_SIGNING_IDENTITY`, `APPLE_API_KEY`, `APPLE_API_ISSUER`, `APPLE_API_KEY_CONTENT`, `KEYCHAIN_PASSWORD`) — the workflow logs a `notice` when they are absent and falls back to ad-hoc, so **check the run output before publishing a draft**.
